It should be read together with the Driver Terms and other applicable Ventra policies.

3. Information we collect

Account and profile information

  • Name, display name, email address and phone number.
  • Authentication account identifiers and related authentication information.
  • Profile photograph where provided.
  • Account status, verification status and operational information associated with your driver account.

Identity, licence and verification information

  • Aadhaar and PAN information used for driver verification, where applicable. The system is designed to retain hashed and masked forms rather than raw government identification numbers.
  • Driving licence images and information supplied for verification.
  • Vehicle information and relevant vehicle/document information required for driver onboarding and operations.

Location information

  • Current device location while you use the driver app and work on the Ventra platform.
  • Background location while the driver location-tracking service is active for delivery operations.

  • Ratings, operational events, cancellations, disputes and support cases.

  • Security and service-operation information generated when you use the app.
We do not use Ventra Driver to collect your contacts, SMS/WhatsApp messages, microphone recordings, health information, advertising ID, or email contents as part of the driver service.

4. Location information

Location is a core part of the Driver service. When you are online and handling deliveries, Ventra may use foreground and background location to support dispatch, delivery tracking, navigation, pickup/drop-off operations and related safety and service functions.

Your current location is used for operational purposes and is updated as your location changes. The current implementation overwrites the driver's current location rather than maintaining a historical location trail for ordinary dispatch purposes.

Location access may be required to go online, receive or accept delivery offers, and perform deliveries. You can manage location permissions through your device settings, but disabling required location access may prevent parts of the Driver service from functioning.

Important: Background location is used in connection with the active driver/delivery workflow and related operational functions. It is not intended to be used to build a general historical travel profile.

5. How we use information

We use driver information for purposes including:

  • Creating and managing your driver account.
  • Verifying identity, licence, vehicle and eligibility information.
  • Matching and dispatching delivery offers.
  • Supporting pickup, navigation, delivery, proof of delivery and return workflows.
  • Showing delivery status and location information to appropriate users and administrators when required for the delivery.
  • Calculating delivery earnings, commissions, deductions, taxes and available balances.
  • Processing eligible withdrawals and maintaining financial records.
  • Managing ratings, disputes, support requests and operational issues.
  • Preventing fraud, abuse, unauthorized access and other security or compliance problems.
  • Sending service, delivery, account and operational notifications.
  • Maintaining audit records and complying with legal or regulatory obligations.
  • Improving service reliability and, where applicable, analyzing app usage and performance.

6. Sharing and service providers

We may disclose information to parties that need it to provide Ventra services, operate our systems, protect the platform or comply with law. Sharing does not mean that every recipient can freely use your information for its own purposes.

Service providers

Ventra uses technology and infrastructure providers for authentication, cloud storage and databases, push notifications, application security, mapping/location services, online payments and related platform operations.

Delivery participants

Information necessary for a delivery may be shown to the customer, business or other delivery participant. This can include your driver identity/profile information, delivery status, relevant contact details and location information needed for the delivery.

Authorities and legal requests

We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, legal process, court orders, regulatory requirements, or valid requests from competent authorities, or to protect rights, safety and security.

Business changes

If the business or relevant assets are reorganized, transferred or acquired, information may be transferred as part of that transaction subject to applicable law and appropriate protections.

7. Earnings and payouts

Ventra maintains records of delivery earnings, balances, commissions, applicable deductions and withdrawal requests. Eligible withdrawals may be processed through the payment infrastructure used by Ventra.

Payment providers may process transaction information necessary to complete a payout or payment. Ventra does not ask you to provide payment-card credentials through ordinary Driver chat or support messages.

Financial and ledger records may need to be retained for accounting, reconciliation, fraud prevention, dispute handling and legal or regulatory purposes.

8. Verification and KYC

Driver onboarding may require identity, tax, licence and vehicle verification. Documents are used to establish eligibility and support compliance and platform safety.

Government identifiers are handled in a minimized form where the system supports hashing or masking. Licence and other verification documents may be retained for the period necessary for account administration, compliance, dispute handling and legitimate operational requirements.

Verification information is not intended to be displayed publicly as a driver's ordinary profile information.

9. Notifications and devices

Ventra may use push notifications to send delivery offers, assignment updates, operational alerts, account messages and other service communications. A push-notification token may be associated with your account and device to deliver those messages.

Device model, manufacturer, operating system and app version may be processed for service operation, compatibility, security and developer communications.

10. Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy and for legitimate business, accounting, dispute, security, audit, legal or regulatory requirements.

Different information may be retained for different periods. Current operational records such as your current driver location are updated/overwritten as part of normal service operation, while financial records, ledger information, audit records, orders, notifications, returns and disputes may be retained for longer periods where necessary.

Profile and verification information may be retained until deletion or another legitimate retention requirement applies. Exact retention periods can vary depending on the information and applicable obligations.

If a law, legitimate dispute, fraud investigation, accounting requirement or other lawful reason requires continued retention, deletion may be delayed or limited for the affected information.

11. Account deletion

You can submit an account deletion request through the Ventra Driver app and through Ventra's external account-deletion request process.

When a deletion request is submitted, Ventra may restrict the account from creating new activity while the request is processed and may record an audit event showing that a request was received.

Deletion does not necessarily mean that every historical record disappears immediately. Information that must be retained for financial records, legal obligations, fraud prevention, disputes, audit requirements or other legitimate purposes may remain, subject to applicable law. Where appropriate, retained historical information may be minimized or anonymized.

To request deletion, use the account deletion page linked from the Driver app and Play Store listing, or contact support@creatorcloud.in.

12. Security

Ventra uses reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure or destruction. These measures may include encrypted connections, authentication controls, access controls, server-side authorization, security monitoring and data minimization practices.

No internet-connected service can guarantee absolute security. You should protect your device and account credentials and report suspected unauthorized access promptly.

13. Your choices and rights

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights relating to your personal information, including requesting access, correction, deletion or other forms of data handling.

You can also control certain permissions, including location and notification permissions, through your device settings. Some permissions are operationally necessary for the Driver service and disabling them may prevent features from working.

For privacy requests or questions, contact us using the details in Section 17. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

14. Children

Ventra Driver is intended for registered drivers who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly provide driver accounts to children under 18.

15. Processing and transfers

Ventra and its technology providers may process information using infrastructure located in India or other jurisdictions where the relevant service providers operate. Where information is transferred or processed across jurisdictions, appropriate safeguards and applicable legal requirements are considered.

16. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this policy when our services, data practices or legal obligations change. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when a new version takes effect.

For material changes, we may provide an appropriate notice through the app or other available communication channels.
